SEPTEMBER 1, 2014—Prof. Pierre Destruel is retiring as co-director of the LIA NextPV after 2 years of hard work to promote the French-Japanese laboratory.
Prof. Jean-François Guillemoles has accepted to take over the co-direction. He is the Research Deputy Director at the Institute of Research and Development on Photovoltaic Energy (IRDEP) and head of the program on advanced PV concepts in the future Île-de-France Photovoltaic Institute (IPVF).
Also September is the occasion for Tomoyuki Inoue to continue his Master work on photon recycling and III-V PV micro-cells in IRDEP for a 6-month exchange program.
Meanwhile the LIA NextPV had some interesting results to present on Perovskite and light management:
- Chloride Assisted Perovskite Solar Cells Prepared Using Solution-processed Techniques with Efficiency Over 17%, Dr. Satoshi Uchida, SSSC, Oxford.
- Four-fold MQWs absorption enhancement in a 430 nm thick InGaAs/GaAsP MQWs solar cell, Benoît Behaghel (PhD student), EU PVSEC, Amsterdam.
