APRIL 2014—The Sakura blossoms bring a new member in the LIA NextPV. Dr. Amaury Delamarre will carry out a 2-year postdoc position, funded by the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), in the group of Prof. Masakazu Sugiyama (SUGIYAMA Lab.). His project aims at characterizing multi-quantum well solar cells by means of luminescence (photoluminescence, electroluminescence), as well as designing and fabricating novel structures. The application of those devices in Multi Junction and Intermediate Band Solar Cells is investigated.
Spring also was the occasion to present the progression on characterization for NextPV: Characterization of Photovoltaic Absorbers for High Throughput Processing, Prof. Jean-François Guillemoles, MRS – Spring Meeting, San Francisco.
