On January 10, 2013, French President, François Hollande visited the Laboratory of Organic Polymer Chemistry (LCPO), a NextPV’s member Lab.
He was accompanied by:
- Geneviève Fioraso, Minister of Higher Education and Research,
- Bernard Cazeneuve, Minister for European Affairs,
- Michèle Delaunay, Minister for the elderly and autonomy,
- Alain Anziani, Senator of the Gironde department,
- Alain Rousset, President of the Aquitaine Region.
«I did not understand everything, but a book was given to me and, even in English, I will make the effort for (understanding) the organic chemistry» said François Hollande with a smile, after the visit of the LCPO.
This visit allowed Prof. Georges Hadziioannou’s research group to introduce its works on organic electronics, where functional materials such as fluorinated polymers and nano-structurated polymers will replace silicon.
